An SUV hit two pedestrians -- critically injuring one person -- late Saturday in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood.
The driver was headed westbound in the 900 block of West Fullerton Avenue when two pedestrians ran out in front of the Nissan Pathfinder about 11 p.m., police said.
The crash happened just outside the CTA’s Fullerton station, police said.
The 19-year-old woman and the 22-year-old man injured were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. At least one of the pedestrians was critically hurt, though police had no further details on their conditions Sunday morning.
The driver remained at the scene and was cited for failing to take due care of a pedestrian in the roadway, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.
Area North detectives are investigating.
