Two men were killed and a teen boy was injured Saturday night when a motorcycle struck a vehicle in west suburban Roselle, police said.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. when a vehicle attempted to turn left onto Lake Street near Wheaton Road, Roselle police Sergeant Dave Hourigan said.

The motorcycle hit the driver’s side of the vehicle, and both the 19-year-old motorcyclist and the 35-year-old driver of the vehicle were killed, Hourigan said.

A 13-year-old passenger in the vehicle, thought to be the 35-year-old man’s son, was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with non life-threatening injuries, Hourigan said.

Roselle police are investigating witness reports that the motorcycle was travelling at a high rate of speed, Hourigan said.
