A man is in serious condition after he was shot several times in the abdomen and leg in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood early Thursday.

 

The 32-year-old man was involved in an argument -- possibly a domestic argument -- when he was shot in the 5900 block of South Campbell Avenue about 3 a.m., said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

 

The man was taken in serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Alfaro said.

 

No one was in custody early Thursday as Area Central detectives investigated.
