Police warn residents of Pink Line robber

The Chicago Police Department has issued an alert warning 10th District residents about a series of armed robberies that have occurred on the CTA Pink Line. According to the release, the offender has approached victims, displayed a handgun and forcefully taken their cell phones before fleeing when the train stops at a station. One robbery took place at 2019 S. Kostner Ave. on Jan. 28 around 10:45 a.m. and another occurred on Feb. 9 around 5 p.m. at 1931 S. Kostner Ave.
 
According to the alert, the offender is described as a black male between the ages of 22 and 30 with a tattoo on the left side of his neck and pock marks on his face indicative of acne and a height between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet  1 inch. His weight is estimated to be between 160 and 185 pounds.
