Story by 89 WLS reporter Bill Cameron
When the roll was called to avert the fiscal cliff, Illinois delegation of congressmen was divided.
Four Republicans voted no - Congressmen Peter Roskam and Randy Hultgren, lame ducks Bobby Shilling and Joe Walsh.
All of the Democrats voted yes, including Rep. Danny Davis. During debate last night, he gave thanks for the deal's extension of unemployment benefits, "When I go to church on Sunday, I know I will see people with the assurance that pretty soon an unemployment check is in the mail."
But that church he's talking faces higher fees. Thanks to Mayor Emanuel, churches in the city are supposed to pay for 60% of their city water this year, up from 40% last year.
