An Arlington Heights woman was killed after her car crashed into median in the Near West Side neighborhood Tuesday morning, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Shawna Daro, 30, of the 200 block of West Miner Street, was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 12:40 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said. Her car crashed into the median along West Madison Avenue at Hoyne Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
