(CHICAGO) At City Hall, there's a call for City Council hearings on the question of whether Taste of Chicago should continue

 

The event is under attack by Alderman Bob Fioretti.

 

“Unless they can prove me otherwise, this is definitely the end of Taste of Chicago,” Fioretti said. “It’s a continuing problem that we lose money off of Taste of Chicago.”

 

Reporter Bill Cameron fired back that the event was fun, only to get the response, “When was the last time you were there walking through on a hot day that you were having fun over at Taste of Chicago?”

 

But, the Mayor isn’t biting. He says he wants to keep reforming and improving taste rather than shut it down.
