Two teens were shot in the West Town neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

They were in the 2600 block of West Chicago Avenue about 4:30 p.m. when they were shot, police News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss said.

Both males are in “stable” condition at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Purkiss said, though their exact ages were not yet known. One of them suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
