Royals rally to defeat White Sox 7 – 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Despite a sixth inning grand slam by Melky Cabrera, the Royals came from behind to beat the White Sox on Friday night. Eric Hosmer had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs as the Kansas City Royals rallied to defeat the Chicago White Sox 7-5 Friday night. The White Sox used five pitchers in the Royals’ four-run seventh with Matt Albers taking the loss.

The Royals host Chicago again this afternoon. The pre-game show starts at 1240pm, and first pitch at 115pm on WLS-AM 890.

Melky Cabrera powers Sox to 10-4 win over Twins

CHICAGO (AP) — Melky Cabrera had four hits and three RBIs, Jose Abreu hit a solo homer, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 10-4 Friday night. Adam Eaton drove in two runs and made one of three fine defensive plays for the White Sox, who trail only the crosstown Cubs for most victories in major league baseball.
