Police release photos of Lincoln Park burglary suspects

(CHICAGO) Chicago Police are searching for two men suspected of breaking into the garage of a 46-year-old woman’s Lincoln Park neighborhood home on Monday afternoon.The burglary happened about 1 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Mohawk, according to a community alert issued by 18th District police.

Surveillance images showed two men, each about 5-foot-10 and 30 years old, leaving the scene in a black two-door Nissan, police said.

Police warn of North Center garage burglaries

(CHICAGO) Police are warning residents of the North Center neighborhood about a string of recent garage burglaries.

In four recent incidents, burglars stole property from garages, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened:
• at an unknown time between April 3 and 7 in the 1900 block of West Roscoe;
• between 5:30 p.m. April 5 and 6:30 a.m. April 6 in the 1900 block of West Newport;
• between 7 p.m. April 5 and 8:30 a.m. April 6 in the 3400 block of North Leavitt; and
• between 6:30 p.m. April 16 and 8 a.m. April 17 in the 2200 block of West Melrose.

Man seriously injured while trying to drive car off top of parking garage

(CHICAGO) A car flipped over onto the edge of a North Side parking garage when a 50-year-old man tried to drive off it early Tuesday in Rogers Park, leaving him seriously injured.

About 5 a.m., the Nissan hit a retaining wall on the fourth level of the garage in the 7400 block of North Rogers when the driver tried to take the vehicle over the edge, police said. The car instead flipped over onto its roof.

The man had to be extricated, and he was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in serious-to-critical condition, fire officials said.
