Former Chicago Bears fullback Jason Mckie and Fox Chicago's Dionne Miller were the special co-hosts on today's edition of the 89 WLS Sports Pregame Show.
Special thanks to
STEVE STONE, WLS BASEBALL COMMISSIONER, discussed White Sox 1st Baseman Paul Konerko's move to the Disabled List today. Stone describes the team as “unachieving.” The White Sox players know what’s going on, but have to keep playing on. They also discussed the trade between the Cubs and Orioles. Stone Pony thought it was a terrific deal for the Cubs getting everything to help their team including relied pitching.
and
ED ZABROCKI, Mayor of Tinley Park, who discussed why he wants the Cubs to move to his town. While the pitch is a long shot, it is a great way to bring attention to his town. He doesn't believe the Cubs will leave Wrigleyville, but “never say never."
Jason gave us his opinion on the rash of NFL player arrests this off season and we brought you the breaking news that Butler head coach Brad Stevens has been hired as the new head coach of the Boston Celtics.
The WLS Sports crew is taking the 4th of July off, but tune in again on Friday, July 5th when we will again bring you the latest on Chicago sports.
