North Side man charged with animal cruelty

(CHICAGO) The owner of a North Side doggie daycare facility has been charged with animal cruelty after a video surfaced of him kicking a dog.

Jonathon Stenholt, 39, has been charged with one count of cruelty to animals, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

Stenholt was charged after being identified as the offender shown in video surveillance abusing a dog Tuesday morning at his business in the 100 block of North Des Plaines, police said.

Stenholt, of the 5900 block of West Waveland, was arrested Thursday afternoon.
