(CHICAGO) A 40-year-old man died early Wednesday after being pulled from Lake Michigan near Oak Street Beach, according to police.
He was pulled from the water about 4 a.m. near the 1000 block of North Lake Shore Drive and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
