
(ROBBINS) Two people were killed and seven others were injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday night in south suburban Robbins.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. near 137th Street and Central Park Avenue, Robbins Fire Department Capt. Mickil Smith told reporters at the scene.
A car with a child and two adults in it flipped onto its roof, Smith said.
They were taken to hospitals along with a total of four adults and two children in the other vehicles, fire officials said.
A 59-year-old man identified as Less Jones was pronounced dead at MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island and a 43-year-old woman identified as Chires Jones was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. They both lived in the 13400 block of South Hamlin in Robbins.
Robbins police could not immediately be reached for more details.
