(DES MOINES, IA) The latest polls in Iowa show a narrowing lead between the Republican and Democratic presidential front runners and their closest challengers.

Donald Trump leads Republicans in the latest Des Moines Register poll with 23 percent support in Iowa….But Dr. Ben Carson is gaining some ground with 18 percent support. Rounding out the top five Republicans are Ted Cruz, Scott Walker and Jeb Bush.

Meanwhile, as Hillary Clinton sits at 37 percent support among Democrats, Liberal Bernie Sanders is gaining ground with 30 percent of likely Democratic Caucusgoers. Clinton has lost about a third of her supporters since May. Vice President Joe Biden, who hasn’t yet announced if he will run or not, was included in the poll and had 14 percent support.
