(ELMHURST) A clerk is missing after a possible robbery overnight at a gas station in west suburban Elmhurst.
About 5 a.m., police were called to the Shell station at 654 W. North Ave. to check on the well-being of the clerk, who was not at the station, according to Elmhurst police.
“Police are currently in the process of reviewing video to determine what has occurred on the premise,” police said.
The employee has been identified as 21-year-old Simone Boyd, police said.
Boyd is described as a 5-foot, 170-pound black woman with long, black hair, possibly in a ponytail; and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a green, short-sleeve polo shirt and black pants.
