The Springfield standoff is leaving thousands of college students high-and-dry.
More than 130,000 Illinois students-in-need are not getting their state grants because of the state budget standoff.
DePaul political science student Vanessa Cadavillo doesn’t care for the political science of that.
“The political impasse should not affect our pursuit of higher education. We are in pursuit of having a job after college and I don’t think that student’s future should be compromised in the process of creating a budget,” said Cadavillo.
Before he’ll sign that budget, Governor Bruce Rauner wants some pro-business reforms to grow the Illinois economy.
