(ELGIN) South of Chicago Street in Elgin, Illinois 31 will be closed for repairs to the railroad crossing.
This project is expected to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 28th, 2015 with completion set for Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 by 7 a.m.
According to IDOT, a detour will be posted. Northbound Illinois 31 will be routed east on U.S. 20, north on Illinois 25 and west on Chicago Street/Highland Avenue to reconnect with Illinois 31.
Southbound traffic will follow the reverse route.
