(CHICAGO) Body parts that might be human were found in the West Garfield Park neighborhood late Monday afternoon.
The “organic matter” was discovered at 5:11 p.m. by officers investigating in the 400 block of North Kilbourn, according to Chicago Police, who did not say what they were investigating.
A spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office said one of their investigators was sent to the scene but couldn’t immediately confirm the remains were human.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
