(CHICAGO) Chicago Supt. Garry McCarthy met with other police chiefs at McCormick place Monday where he says there are two main problems surrounding gun violence; repeat offenders and illegal guns.
“This is not about legal guns, this is about guns falling into the wrong hands and people dying,” McCarthy said.
McCarthy says gun arrests are up by 25 percent so far this year and noted that the year wasn’t up. He says he will not relent.
