Blackhawk’s star Patrick Kane will not face rape charges, according to the district attorney’s office of Erie County, New York.
In a press release this morning, District Attorney Frank Sedita III says, “the totality of the credible evidence — the proof — does not sufficiently substantiate the complainant’s allegation that she was raped by Patrick Kane and this so-called “case” is rife with reasonable doubt.”
The release also notes that the woman who initially accused Kane of sexually assaulting her at his home near Buffalo, New York stopped cooperating with investigators.
