Two people dressed in black, carrying semi-automatic rifles, police say they unleashed a massacre Wednesday at the Inland Regional Center, a facility for the developmentally disabled in San Bernardino, California. The shooters have been identified as Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik. Both are believed to be Muslims, but neither were known to the FBI or on a list of potentially radicalized people. Thanks to the Chicago Police shakeup, Mayor Emanuel has canceled plans to be in Paris for the climate change talks. He will however continue on with his plan for a family vacation in communist Cuba. That wasn’t supposed to be public knowledge, which led to quite a donnybrook between Politico’s Mike Allen and Rahm Emanuel. A few Chicago cops were caught reacting to the firing of Garry McCarthy on their radios. One made reference to Emanuel having McCarthy’s back, and other asked when the Mayor will get fired.
Former Lakers great and undercover airline pilot Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is weighing in on the Laquan McDonald shooting. He says the solution is to hire more female police officers. He says that female police officers provoke fewer confrontations than their male counterparts.
