(BARTLETT) Six people were injured, two of them critically, when an SUV rolled over in northwest suburban Bartlett early Thursday.
Emergency crews responded at 12:40 a.m. to the crash on Lake Street (Route 20) near Naperville Road in Bartlett, according to the Streamwood Fire Department.
Two people were ejected from the vehicle, one of whom was trapped under it when it came to a stop, fire officials said. Crews used rescue airbags to free that person.
The two ejected victims were taken in critical condition to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. One of them was later airlifted to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, officials said.
The other four people in the SUV were taken to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Their injuries weren’t considered life-threatening, officials said.
The crash, which happened on the border of Streamwood and Bartlett, is being investigated by Bartlett police, who could not immediately be reached for more details.
