(CHICAGO) LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY FOR PARTS OF NORTHERN IN AND SW MICHIGAN THROUGH THIS EVENING. HEAVIEST SNOW LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY WHERE SOME AREAS COULD SEE UP TO A HALF FOOT OF SNOW. AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST MONDAY, LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL AFFECT THE ILLINOIS LAKEFRONT WHERE 1-3″ OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE LATE OVERNIGHT AND MONDAY. LOWER AMOUNTS FARTHER INLAND
Tonight | Mainly cloudy with a few flurries and isolated snow showers possible. Low 22.
Monday | Increasing clouds. Lake effect snow will produce some accumulation closer to the shore…1-3″ possible. Lesser amounts of snow inland. High 28.
Tuesday | Except for a few afternoon clouds, mainly sunny. High 34F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.
Wednesday | Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 30s and lows in the low 30s.
Thursday | Mix of rain and freezing rain. Highs in the upper 30s and lows in the mid 30s.
Friday | Rain. Highs in the low 40s.
