She’s facing felony charges of misuse of charitable funds and money-laundering, stemming from what authorities have said was her husband’s theft from a village-controlled fund before his death almost five months ago. They were trying to get home to LA when all of the airplanes were grounded, so they rented a car and drove. They made it all the way to Ohio.
