(CHICAGO) Bail has been set at $150,000 for a woman dubbed the ‘serial stowaway.’
A Cook County judge has ordered 64 year old Marilyn Hartman held on $100,000 dollars bail for trespassing and $50,000 dollars for violating probation.
She has tried to get through airport security and board planes at several airports, across the country.
Hartman tried it at O’hare and Midway last year, was arrested, and told to stay away from Chicago’s airports. However, on Wednesday, she was spotted at an O’hare bus shuttle center and arrested.
Marilyn Hartman, who was confined to a locked mental health facility, was transferred to another one earlier this month which allowed her more freedom.
Her lawyer tells ABC7, “We did not want her treatment interrupted. We’re very hopeful because Judge Raines has taken a great interest in this case that he will make sure she continues with her treatment,” said Cook County Assistant Public Defender Parle Roe-Taylor.
Hartman is scheduled to appear in court, again, next Tuesday.
