(CHICAGO) Illinois is getting high marks for the number of students earning top scores on advanced placement exams.
The state ranked 11th in the nation for the percentage of high school student earning a three out of five or higher on the test.
A new state law requires Illinois colleges to offer college credit to students earning at least a three on the exam. The most popular Advanced Placement exams are English, U.S. History and Psychology.
