(CHICAGO) State and local police are beefing up traffic enforcement starting today.
Police will be conducting roadside safety checks and beefing up patrols through St. Patrick’s Day. The traffic enforcement campaign will actually extend beyond March 17 through the following weekend.
Nine people lost their lives in St. Patrick’s Day crashes over the past five years.
