It’s been six months since former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert pleaded guilty to paying $1.7 million in hush money to cover up wrongdoing from his days as a teacher and wrestling coach decades earlier. Hastert is in court for sentencing on Wednesday. One of the accusers, known as “Individual A” is suing Hastert for failing to pay him as they had agreed. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump just moved much closer to a general election match-up. Trump swept the Republican primaries in five East Coast states on Tuesday, while Clinton won in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Delaware, dropping only Rhode Island to Bernie Sanders. Michael Steele, MSNBC contributor, former Maryland Lt. Governor and former Chairman of the Republican National Committee joined John with reaction to the election results. (Listen here)

Illinois lawmakers are trying to restrict the use of solitary confinement at state prisons with a proposal that limits the number of days an inmate can be segregated. The bill would limit solitary confinement to no more than five consecutive days and five total days during a 150-day period. That would be a dramatic change from the current rules that allow prisons to isolate inmates for weeks or years at a time. Illinois State Representative La Shawn Ford is a sponsor of the bill and joined John to talk about the plan. (Listen here)

According to a new data, more people are swearing in public these days. We’re basically using the F-bomb as a comma. According to the University of Chicago a quarter of Americans use “effin’” at least once a day, according to its most recent survey. That’s up 10 points from a similar question asked in 2006. Some 34 percent of admit using some kind of profanity in public at least sometimes.
A Burger King employee in Michigan is America’s newest hero. A woman was dying of cancer and wanted one last request… a Whopper. It was 4am on New Years Eve, so it was a little tough to find a place that was both open and willing to make one, but eventually one employee went the extra mile to fulfill her dying wish.
