(CHICAGO) Sinead O’Connor has been found and is said to be safe after friends say she went missing Sunday morning outside of Chicago.
Police in Wilmette had been looking for O’Connor after friends she had been staying with called saying they were concerned about her well being. Friends last saw here Sunday around 6 a.m. when she left to go for a bike ride.
The 49-year-old rock singer and writer has a history of mental illness and had threatened suicide on Facebook back in November. She has also been in a custody battle over her children.
On top of that, Arsenio Hall this month reportedly filed a libel suit against O’Connor after she accused him of providing drugs for Prince, who died last month.
In a statement police simply say O’Connor was found safe and is no longer considered a missing person. They haven’t said where she was found.
