SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Legislation to regulate daily fantasy sports betting in Illinois has been shelved after a lawmaker accused a lobbyist of trying to buy votes for the bill. Democratic Rep. Michael Zalewski, one of the bill’s sponsors, told colleagues in a House committee Sunday that he would not put the proposal up to a vote before the Legislature adjourns its spring session Tuesday.
