The 2016 race jumped up a notch, the Twitter war for the hearts and minds of America has officially begun. It all started when Donald Trump made a snide remark about President Obama endorsing Hillary Clinton. Clinton responded five minutes later with “Delete your account.” The Internet promptly exploded. Reince Priebus, undoubtedly trying to avoid any comments from Trump that he is being treated unfairly, joined in fray, commenting that Hillary knows all about deleting things. Illinois’ “political gridlock” prompted two major credit rating agencies to downgrade the state’s credit rating — two levels above “junk” status — but that one-two punch could motivate politicians to end the messy budget impasse. Moody’s Investors Service on Thursday lowered Illinois’ rating on $26 billion in debt by one level to Baa2. That downgrade affects $2.75 billion in revenue bonds. Illinois State Comptroller Leslie Munger joined John to talk about what the budget fight will mean for the state’s finances. (Listen here)

A Chicago man has gotten hundreds of dollars worth of parking tickets, but he’s not a scofflaw. His car was stolen, and the city keeps finding the car illegally parked. They just keep writing tickets while the police just shrug and say they can’t use the meter maid resources to find the car.
