The Chicago Bulls introduced their newest member at the Advocate Center on the city’s West Side Monday.
Denzel Valentine, who was the team’s first-round draft pick, will wear number 45.
“First off, I just want to say I’m very excited to be a member of the Chicago Bulls and this great tradition. Winning matters here,” Valentine said, adding he is excited to get started.
Nobody is exactly sure where he will fit on the floor, but Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg believes he will fit somewhere.
“The thing I’m most excited about Denzel is his versatility. He’s a basketball player,” Hoiberg said.
Valentine played college ball at Michigan State University where he averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game his senior year.
Starting this fall, all Bulls games will be broadcast exclusively on WLS-AM 890.
