(CHICAGO) In Washington, the final report is in from the House Benghazi Committee on the four Americans killed in the 2012 U.S. Embassy attack. Republican panel member, U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Wheaton) is outspoken about the findings.
No new evidence of wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in this final report, but with the election only about four and a half months away, Roskam is still finding fault.
“The thing that I talk away is this jarring contrast between the ingenuity and the heroism and the initiative that was taking place at Benghazi,” Roskam said. “You can read these communications. You can understand the urgency of what they were dealing with and this overwhelming sense of responsibility to rescue other Americans. Meanwhile, across the ocean, almost a disposition of near fecklessness.”
Meaning a near lacking of initiative or strength of character; irresponsible. Clinton has taken responsibility for her State Dept’s handling of the attacks.
