(CHICAGO) Donald Trump has reportedly asked former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka to speak on his behalf at the Republican convention in Cleveland next month.
Bloomberg politics reports the Trump campaign has also invited former Indiana Basketball coach Bobby Knight, and former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson to speak on Trump’s behalf at the convention.
Tyson was convicted of raping a beauty pageant contestant in Indiana in the 1990’s, and Trump has been criticized in the past for accepting the boxer’s support.
After the Bloomberg report appeared, Trump went on Twitter to deny he had invited Tyson to appear at the convention.
