(CLEVELAND) The balloons and confetti drop and VP candidate Mike Pence..and both of their families joinTrump on stage.
But not before Donald Trump talks to an RNC crowd for over an hour.
On the stage at the Quicken Loans Arena, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus says he has a message for America, “Hold on. Help is coming.”
Ivanka Trump brings up equal pay for women and says like many fellow millennials she doesn’t consider herself categorically Republican or Democrat, “More than party affiliation I vote based on what I believe is right for my family and for my country. Sometimes it’s a tough choice. That is not the case this time.
After introducing her father, Donald Trump says, “Friends, delegates, and fellow Americans, I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States.”
Trump went on to talk about -among other things- fighting terrorism, building a wall along the U-S border with Mexico, protecting the LGBTQ community, and bringing back jobs.
The Democrats kick off their convention, in Philadelphia, on Monday.
