(CHICAGO) DePaul University is banning a high-profile conservative speaker from campus.
The Chicago Sun Times reports DePaul is refusing to allow commentator and writer Ben Shapiro. Shapiro is a nationally syndicated columnist and Harvard Law School graduate.
A DePaul spokeswoman tells the Sun Times the school is refusing to let Shapiro speak because it does not feel it is in a proper position to provide the proper security that would be needed.
Earlier this year, hundreds of people protested an appearance by conservative journalist Milo Yiannopoulos at DePaul.
One person was arrested during the disturbance and the speech was canceled.
