(CHICAGO) There is an investigation underway in northwest suburban Glendale Heights after two people were found dead of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police in Glendale Heights says James and Kathryn McMahon were found dead around 7:15 Wednesday night in their home on Blue Ridge Drive.
While the DuPage County Coroner’s office conducts a death investigation and performs autopsies, police are, “confident that there is no risk to the safety of the community.”
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is the byproduct of burning natural gas.
