(CHICAGO) Former interim Supt John Escalante is leaving to become police chief at Northeastern Illinois University.
Deputy chief David McNaughton, who signed off on cops side of the story in the infamous LaQuann McDonald killing is retiring.
Mayor Emanuel says more is coming in the police shakeup from Supt Eddie Johnson.
“He’ll make that decision and I’ll back that decision up.”
Police shakeups come and go every four or five years in Chicago, but the street violence never seems to go away.
