(CHICAGO) U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D- Hoffman Estates) is calling for new federal spending on police on a variety of ways.
“I think that we should have more federal grants that do help our police officers,” Duckworth said. “I think that police officers should have body cameras that actually work for example.”
She again criticized her opponent U.S Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) for being unprepared to say why he doesn’t see a role for him to play in police – community relations.
