Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told NBC’s Matt Lauer during a foreign policy forum that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “a leader. Far more than our president has been a leader.”
Trump went on to say that if elected Commander-in-Chief he’d have a better relationship with Putin than our current president. “I think I would have a very, very good relationship with Putin,”Trump told the audience of veterans. “I think I would have a very, very good relationship with Russia.”
