(CHICAGO) A west suburban woman who helped people with their taxes is now heading to prison for using their information for other purposes.
Leticia Williams-English of Maywood has admitted filing more than 60 fraudulent claims for unemployment insurance using the identities of various people who knew nothing about her scheme.
She got the victims’ information through her job at a tax preparation service and federal prosecutors say she got over
$315,000 in unemployment benefits.
Leticia Williams-English..who has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud…has been sentenced to four years in prison.
She also has to pay just over $315,000 in restitution.
