(CHICAGO) Most of the aldermen are taking the Cubs up on buying face-value playoff tickets and the mayor says he is too.
Hard to believe a Chicago mayor has to buy Cubs tickets, but when asked if he’ll buy these face-value playoff tickets, Mayor Emanuel said this.
“Well if I do, it would only be enough for me and Amy and not you,” Emanuel told a reporter. “But let me say this, it is on a Friday night, Amy and I have every intention of going, that said, I’ll be buying the tickets. You can check it out, OK. Number two, I’m most excited to see the times in which I’ve seen Cubs hats, jerseys, etc. throughout the City of Chicago and that’s a change and I think we’re all very excited for our home team and the advancement that they’ve made.”
Now if he can only get himself as popular in time for the 2019 election.
