(CHICAGO) The City of Chicago has announced their preparations for the Cubs playoffs.
Police say there are no credible threats to the Cubs or the city, but they say everyone should stay alert.
“Please remember in the times that we are at, “see something say something” is never more important,” said Dept. Chief Al Nagode. “We are going to have enough resources working with our federal partners to ensure that we are safe at all levels. So if we have something that is suspicious or you see something you don’t like, it’s important and imperative that you call right away so we can mitigate those circumstances.”
Police are working with the FBI and other agencies to ensure the playoffs aren’t interrupted by violence. There will be an increased presence of police around Wrigley and drivers are being asked to avoid the area. Officials are also asking Cubs fans without tickets to enjoy the game at a different venue.
