(CHICAGO) Cubs fans taking the Red Line to the game could board a piece of Chicago rail history.
The CTA will operate what it is calling its “World Series Special” for the games played here in Chicago.
The 2400-series trains built in the late 1970s, are decked out in Red, White and Blue and have been decorated with Cubs posters.
The train is apart of CTA’s Heritage Fleet, a program to preserve historic rail cars and buses.
The train is set to depart Friday from Howard making a run to 95th at around 3:45pm. The return trip departs 95th at around 4:50pm. The CTA says times are approximate and subject to change.
Aside from the “World Series Special,” the CTA is also providing extra rail and bus service for the games.
