Man shot in Evergreen Park after leaving Chuck E. Cheese’s

(EVERGREEN PARK) A man was shot Saturday night in south suburban Evergreen Park after leaving a nearby Chuck E. Cheese’s.

Officers responded to shots fired at West 95th Street and South Spaulding Avenue at 9:04 p.m. but didn’t find a victim or any evidence of a shooting, according to Evergreen Park police.

About five minutes later, a 26-year-old man who reported he had been shot at West 95th Street and South Pulaski Avenue showed up at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

The victim told investigators he had just left Chuck E. Cheese’s at 4031 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn and was driving east on 95th when someone in a black Jeep heading in the same direction started shooting at his vehicle.

The Chicago resident drove himself to Christ, where he was treated for injuries to his lip and lower back and was released, police said.

Police said he would not make any additional statements and told investigators he would not sign criminal complaints.

Evergreen Park police are investigating.
