(CHICAGO) There continues to be a call by some Democrats and Republicans to investigate the hacking of the election by Russia. One Illinois based political analyst thinks no matter what the intent of Russia was, it is something that must be looked into.
“Its’ still a huge encroachment on our electoral process a deep source of concern and that should be a concern for Republicans and Democrats,” said David Axelrod, director of the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago. “I don’t think the Trump folks are doing him a favor by continually pushing back against this.”
On Sunday, U.S. Republican and Democratic senators called for a special bipartisan panel to investigate cyber attacks against the United States by foreign countries, with a focus on Russia.
