(CHICAGO) Funeral services have been set for former Illinois Republican Party chairman Albert M. Jourdan Jr. who passed away Saturday at the age of 82.
He got his start in politics at a Republican committeeman in McHenry County in 1961. He later served as chairman in McHenry County and went on to head the Illinois Republican Party from 1991 – 1993. His obituary states that in recent years, he served as a political consultant for many candidates and projects within McHenry County and the State of Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Justen Funeral Home in McHenry with funeral services set for Friday.
Jourdan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn “Carrie” Jourdan (nee Kollman), daughter Debra Diedrich, son Albert III, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
