(CHICAGO) A second Chicago man has been charged with the murder of a Cook County Judge earlier this month. Judge Raymond Myles was shot multiple times outside of his south side home on April 10th.
“Judge Myles was murdered when he tried to intervene and save the life of his female friend,” said Chicago Police Commander Rodney Blisset.
Police say Myles’ friend was the target of a robbery and one of the suspects told investigators that they had been watching her for at least two or three weeks.
Earl Wilson, the suspected gunman, is now charged with first-degree murder.
The alleged getaway driver, 37-year-old Joshua Smith, was charged earlier this month with first-degree murder, aggravated battery and obstructing police. He is being held without bond at the Cook County Jail.
