(CHICAGO) Michael Weimer is charged with robbing the TCF Bank Branch inside the Jewel-Osco store on the 35-hundred block of North Broadway on April 14.
Authorities say The 35-year old made off with more than $3,200 but was seen using a taxi as a getaway vehicle and it was tracked down by cops. Also, the suspect’s face was captured on bank security video and the picture aired on local TV newscasts.
A woman saw one of the reports and four days later, told police that a man fitting the description was walking northbound in the 3900 block of North Broadway.
Cops took him into custody and charged him with having drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The FBI says, after showing Weimer’s girlfriend a surveillance photo from the April 14 robbery, she positively identified him as the robber and he was charged.

He is also suspected of robbing TCF branches on April 24 on North Elston Avenue, March 30 on North Ashland, and March 24 on North Sheridan Road.
